About Evan Crick Consulting

Evan has spent the last 34 years working in the Hardware, Timber and Building Supplies Industry. Prior to that, he had extensive experience both working as well as managing successful operations in both the rural, manufacturing and distribution, hotel and floorcoverings industries.

In the 34 years in Hardware, Evan along with wife Sue not only built their own very successful business from the ground up, but he has also helped many other retailers to obtain a higher level of profitability in their business. During Evan’s adventure in retailing, he successfully defended his market against the extremely strong competition of the larger format competitors.

Evan’s persistence was no doubt a “thorn” in the side of many of his competitors. Once he puts his mind on a target there is no stopping him.
As well, along the way he advised and mentored other like businesses facing similar competitive conditions in several areas throughout Australia.

Additionally, Evan has also participated in and organized, several overseas Retail Study Tours including the USA, New Zealand, Japan & China.

During the past 5 years, his main role has been consulting to the Independent Hardware Group. Working, advising and mentoring many of their Mitre 10 and Home Timber & Hardware members throughout Australia.
